Event Temple integrates with SeatPlan, a drag-and-drop seating chart and floor-plan designer built for weddings, banquets, galas, and conferences. Sign in with your Event Temple account, link a SeatPlan event to one of your Event Temple events, and the guest list imports automatically: names, emails, dietary needs, and notes. Every time you open the designer, SeatPlan refreshes that list from Event Temple. No exporting contacts to a spreadsheet. No re-drawing the same ballroom in PowerPoint. No seating chart that quietly stops matching the RSVP list.
Event Temple stays the source of truth for attendees. Seating, check-in, and layout data live in SeatPlan.

If any of that sounds familiar, SeatPlan is built for the problem you are trying to solve.
What is SeatPlan?
SeatPlan is a drag-and-drop seating chart and floor-plan designer built for weddings, banquets, galas, conferences, and the people who plan them. Event teams place tables, chair rows, staging, and special areas on a visual canvas that matches their actual room, import their guest list, tag dietary needs and notes, and drag guests to seats — no spreadsheets and no learning curve.
How does SeatPlan integrate with Event Temple?
It is a read-only, OAuth-connected bridge. You sign in to SeatPlan with your Event Temple account, create a SeatPlan event from a template, and link it to one of your Event Temple events using an organization and event picker. The guest list imports at creation, and the link between the two events is stored in the SeatPlan event's settings.
What does the integration sync?
Data flows one way, from Event Temple into SeatPlan: the guest and contact list (name and email), dietary restrictions and notes from custom fields, event details (name, date, booking, account), and guest list updates on each designer open. Seating assignments and check-in status stay in SeatPlan and do not flow back.
Does SeatPlan write anything back to Event Temple?
No. All Event Temple API traffic is read-only GET requests only, with no POST, PATCH, or DELETE. Nothing SeatPlan does can change your Event Temple records.
Do I need an admin to set it up?
No. There is no admin-side configuration. Any Event Temple user can connect by signing in with their Event Temple account no separate credentials, API keys, or field mapping. Dietary and note fields are matched automatically from your Event Temple custom fields by label pattern.
What happens to my seating chart when the guest list changes?
Each time you open a linked event in the designer, SeatPlan re-fetches the contact list for that event and merges the changes: new guests are added, and mapped fields like name, email, dietary needs, and notes are updated by Event Temple contact ID. Local fields table assignment and check-in are always preserved.
What can we get out of SeatPlan for the hotel and the caterer?
A3 PDF layouts for the hotel, Excel seat lists for catering, and printable name cards. On event day, guests find their seats through a printed QR sign or a Wallet seat pass that updates itself when seats change, and the team checks guests in from a link at the door.
